CHRIST JESUS CREATOR AND REDEEMER
Question: What is the meaning of John Chapter 1 verse 9-10?
I am using NASB:
V.9: “There was the True Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man”. Here, John (as the witness), is differentiating between himself as merely human, and Jesus Who was/is Divine!
V.10: “He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him”. John states the fact that Almighty God had taken on the form of Jesus; “to Create”, and to Save! (Philippians 2:6–10).
As an aside; it is interesting to note that V.11 shows that “He came to His own, and those that were His own, and they did not receive Him”! Here the reference is to the Jews (His Chosen People)!
That will not be corrected until the events of Zech.12:10!
